So yes it’s been quite a while since i've written, so I will try to catch you up on things since I last blogged. I had a fairly good Christmas. My sister and her family came down for a few days and it was delightful to see them. I felt bad for them, however, because none of them were feeling real great. But again, it was great seeing them. I'm really looking forward to finding out what the sex is of her baby! Christmas with the rest of the family was a little awkward this year. We have traditions like my dad making French toast after we open presents and making southern fried chicken. But that didn’t happen this year. My dad wasn’t feeling well so my mom and I ate French toast alone. I can’t explain it; it was just awkward this year, sort of like I was ready for it to be over.

On to New Years. The year, New Year’s Eve was by far the best one I ever had. I went over to Kristen’s house where Allen, his friend, Joe, and another friend from his work came over. Allen always said, “You know, it’s never fun when you plan to drink. It’s much better when it’s spontaneous.” With that being said, this night was the exception. It was hilarious, actually. We planned to play all these games, but we were all enjoying the present company so much that the whole night consisted of various conversations (some bizarre ones, at that) and playing pool. By the way, my game was completely off that night. But it was such a morale booster. I definitely started the year off right so WOOOOHOOOO!!!!

So to sum up some accomplishments for 2007: Acquired 2 jobs and am completely able to pay all my bills, on time, with some to spare; registered to take my GRE in February ( sooooo scared); lowered my soda intake tremendously; worked on my patience; and got in touch with some friends from the past. Pretty successful, I think.

So this year has been alright, so far. I’ve been super busy with both of my jobs. But the money is good so I can’t complain. I feel like all of my time is either spent watching kids or sleeping. Kristen’s husband, Allen, works at a job that is #1: Dangerous, and #2: Takes him away from home. Allen and I have finally gotten on solid ground with our relationship. It’s always been a brother- sister one, but we never fight anymore which is very nice. Well coming up shortly he will be headed out of town again. Kristen had the great idea to have a Girl’s Night Out, once a week is possible, so that we can go and get coffee and go to the park and chat, or go see a movie, or get our nails done; pretty much things girls like to do when they get the time to. I was sooo excited to hear about that because our girl time usually consists of going and talking on her porch, which isn’t awful, but a change of scenery would be lovely. She also suggested a Cooking night which I was all for. I loving cooking for other people and I understand how unmotivated you can be to cook a big mean for 1 person. So while Allen will be missed, imp looking forward to some quality friend time with Kristen. A & K also got a little schnauzer puppy named Cal (short for California, the place Allen is proud to be from). It is the most adorable little dog. 9 weeks and potty trained and completely attached to the too. Aileigh is still a little rough with the puppy but she doesn’t know any better so it will take a little time. Needless to say Cal runs and hides when he sees Aileigh.

Well that catches you up to today. It was a typical day. Had FKO from 9-3. However, I did get some great news. Last year, when I taught the 2 year old class, I had a little girl named Reagan. She was the cutest little girl, so well behaved and attached to me. She was quiet but all the kids got along with her. Well, for some reason or another she had to stop coming; but today I got the news that she is coming back and will be in my 3 year old class. I couldn’t stop smiling. I’m looking forward to her joining my class.

Now I will throw is some random facts and thoughts. I now wear reading glasses. It’s just for computer use because I was starting to get bad headaches. I’m the only one in my family doesn’t wear prescription glasses. But I’ve been told that its starts with reading glasses and goes down hill from there. I sure hope not. I am completely addicted to The Office. I have the first 3 seasons on DVD and watch them every chance I get. And even though I have seen them all several times now, I laugh just as hard as I did the first time I saw them. I can wait till the season starts back up on TV. Allen and Kristen finally saw the 5th installment of Harry Potter. Allen thought it was the best one yet, and Kristen is anxious to see the last 2 because of the growing tension between Harry and Voldemort. I watched the 5th one with them and answered any questions they had, so finally my useless HP trivia came into good use. I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, for the 2nd time the other day. I must say, it is definitely a movie you have to watch more then once to catch everything. I wasn’t really pleased with the ending, but I do think they left it open for another one, so YAY!!

Alright well I will close for now. Hopefully I will be able to post again soon. See Ya!!!
